Mountain Climbing Machame Route 8 -Days 7 -Nights

Day 1 -Arrival – Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro international airport as per your flight arrival  time met by a representative from  wonder route adventure  then drive to  your hotel  for dinner and  overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge.

Day 2-Arusha – Machame Hut

After morning breakfast then depart  along with trekking  team (professional  licensed mountain guide cook and porters) to Machame gate for entry formalities. After luggage weighing and clearance with formalities, then commerce trekking from Machame gate to Machame Hut. The height  here is about 1800-3000m this takes  approximately  7 hours trekking , dinner and overnight at Machame Hut.

 Day 3- Machame Hut – Shira 1

After breakfast in the morning, leave to Shira 1 which takes between 4-5 hours. The terrain is tough at this route. Dinner and overnight at Shira  1  Hut.

Day 4 – Shira 1- Barranco Hut

After morning breakfast start leaving Shira 1 to  Barranco  hut with picnic lunch boxes. Stop at lava camp for acclimatization then proceed to Barranco hut for dinner and overnight, the trek takes about 6-7 hours dinner and overnight at Barranco Hut

Day 5 -Barranco – Barafu Hut

Leave Barranco hut after breakfast to Barafu hut a distance of trek is approximately 7-8 hours. Break for picnic   en route to the recommended area by guide. Dinner and overnight at  Barafu Hut.

Day  6- Barafu – Mwika.

At midnight after taking a cu of coffee and light preparations commence the trek from Barafu camp to summit of which  the distance takes  6- 7 hours. After exploration of the area, photos, and signing, at highest peak of Africa start descending to Barafu hut for hot lunch. After a brief rest then start descending to Mwika hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 -Mwika Hut – Mwika Gate

After morning breakfast leave Mwika Hut to Mwika gate for clearance and after being awarded certificate as a sign of conquering the highest peak in Africa then depart  to Mount Meru Game lodge for dinner and  overnight

 Day 8- departure

After breakfast leave to Kilimanjaro international airport to catch your flight back home as per your  flight schedule time.
