Mountains Climbing Marangu Route 7 Days 6 Nights

Day 1- Arrival – Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro international airport as per your flight arrival time met by 2 representative from wonder routes adventure then drive  to your hotel for  dinner and overnight Mount Meru Game Lodge.

 Day 2- Arusha  – Marangu Hut

Breakfast at the lodge then depart to Marangu gate for entry  formalities after  processing the  permit start walking at this  coca – cola route through mountain rain  forest to Mandara Hut   2700m from the sea level , the  distance is  7 km which takes  3-4 hours dinner and overnight at Madara Hut.

Day 2- Mandara Hut – Horombo

After breakfast then start trekking through health and moorland to  Horombo hut  3700m above  sea level with packed lunch on the way. The distance of trek is  9 km which take about  5- 6 hours dinner and overnight at Horombo Hut.

Day 4- Horombo – Kibo

After morning breakfast, you start trekking to Kibo hut which is 4700m above sea level. Her the trek will make you walk through the saddle and the alpine climate on this days, the trek takes approximately 5-6 hours walking, the distance is about 9km dinner and overnight at Kibo Hut.

Day   5 – Kibo – Horombo

At midnight after  light preparation we start our final  ascend to Gilman’s point  5635m from the sea level then proceed to uhuru peak before we descend to Kibo camp for hot lunch and proceed to Horombo hut for diner and overnight the trek distance is  7- 8 km which  takes  10-12 hours.

Day  6, Horombo – Marangu Gate

After morning breakfast we trek down to Marangu gate via Mandara hut for clearance and after being awarded certificate as a sign of conquering the highest peak of Africa. Drive back  to Arusha  dinner and overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge.

 Day 7- Departure

After breakfast depart to Kilimanjaro international airport to  catch your flight back home as per your flight schedule time.
