Saadani national park is only coastal wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania, comprising a full cross section of environments from savannah like conditions to seashore bordering the Indian ocean. Gazetled in 2005, it encompasses a well –preserved ecosystem including the former Saadani game reserve, the former Mkwaja ranch area, the Wami river as well as the Zaraninge forest. Which is total form the Saadani ecosystem that covers an area of 1100 km2 (around 15 km shoreline). As famously known as the paradise where beach life meets wilderness . the topography of the park is made by distinct habitats, as the coastal vegetation zone range from seashore full of palm trees through the tidal mangrove forest that form a buffer between ocean and land. To the wami river shore where the huge sycamore fig is found. Its semi open woodlands closely resemble selous game reserve, and the vast grassy area named “Serengeti ndogo” small Serengeti resembles to the plain grassland of the Serengeti national park hence the name saadani is where crab meets elephant and he roar of lion. It also have a variety of other wild animals such as zebras buffalo elephant, warthog, giraffes wilder bests waterbuck and many more others.
