Day trip to lake Manyara national park will take you to the hidden treasure of the great rift valley. This small park seems to have been designed by nature for man’s enjoyment and a proper visit begins with a brief look at the park’s origins. Manyara is an astonishing oasis in the great rift valley located just southeast of the Serengeti, about 120 km from Arusha lies at the foot of the great rift valley wall stretching all the way from Jordan (middle east) via Sudan, Ethiopia Kenya and Tanzania extending downwards to Mozambique. Lake Manyara national park has an area of 330 km2 of which 230 km2 is covered by the alkaline lake and the rest is the land. It divided into five distinct vegetation zones in the valley (1) open grass plains, acacia woodland, marshlands, scrub land and ground water forests including tall mahogany and fig trees. Lake Manyara national park is also a home for tree climbing lions, and other terrestrial animals such as impala, leopard, zebra, bushbuck, reedbuck, waterbuck, elephants, giraffes and warthogs – along with countless small animals.

Of which is one of the very few places in African to them (lions).

It is also a superb place for bird watching there are more than 500 species of birds in the park. Game drive in this park is very enjoyable and really big experience of a life time.

Departing from your hotel after breakfast at 8:00 with packed lunch for full day game drive. In the evening start to drive back to Arusha dinner and overnight at your hotel.
